A Monthly Prayer Devotional

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary,

but what is unseen is eternal.” II Corinthians 4:18 NIV

A Christian lives in two different worlds … at the same time. One we experience through our five senses. The other is spiritual and, from a purely physical point of reference, hard to grasp. Yet God’s Word tells us that the unseen dimension is more important, being eternal; while the physical world is only temporary.

Ponder: In what ways can the spiritual world affect (either negatively or positively) our physical world? As a believer how can I emphasize the spiritual world without becoming weird?
